Wax pictures are soft and easily damaged so if you don't protect them, sooner or later, someone will scratch their nail across one, just to see what happens. Besides if you have just painted a masterpiece, it wants looking after. The best way to do that is to frame it. Wax paintings aren't flat. When you put one straight into a photo frame, the glass rests on the wax ridges that make up the picture. This doesn't do your painting any good and it marks the inside of the glass, which isn't the easiest place to clean. These mounts are thick and bevelled so that your picture is kept well away from the glass. Plus as they are plain black, they show the colours and detail in your painting off to it's best advantage. All the mounts fit standard photo frame sizes and the sized card that I sell.
